Stellantis Unveils 600-Horsepower 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee

Stellantis N.V. is expanding the performance envelope of its modern muscle car lineup with the introduction of the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee. As the first true high-performance variant of the next-generation Charger, the new model utilizes a highly boosted version of the Hurricane inline-six engine to generate 600 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque.

Dodge officials indicate that the powertrain in the Super Bee offers significant improvements over the SIXPACK H.O. Charger Scat Pack. The upgrades are designed to deliver a broader torque curve, sharper boost response, and stronger sustained output during high-performance driving scenarios. The standard inclusion of all-wheel drive is a critical factor in the vehicle’s launch capabilities.

Performance figures show a notable gain over the previous 6.4-liter V8-powered 2023 Super Bee. The 2027 model accelerates to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, nearly a full second quicker than its predecessor. In the quarter-mile, the new variant completes the run in 11.8 seconds, marking an improvement of roughly half a second compared to the older V8 model.

This launch represents a strategic step for Stellantis as it transitions its performance heritage toward electrified and turbocharged powertrains. While the output does not reach the levels of the discontinued Hellcat V8 engines, the company suggests there is further potential remaining in the platform’s architecture. The 2027 Charger Super Bee positions the brand to compete in the evolving high-performance coupe segment with a focus on modern efficiency combined with straight-line speed.

Stellantis is currently trading down 0.09% today.
