Volkswagen is now starting pre-sales for the new ID. Cross with a 37 kWh battery. This version is primarily aimed at customers who mainly drive in urban traffic and on typical commuting routes and at the same time value an attractive entry-level price. The battery can be optionally combined with 85 kW (116 PS) and 99 kW (135 PS) drive systems and is available in the Trend, Life and Style equipment lines. Prices for the ID. Cross Trend (85 kW) start at 27,995 euros in Germany.
The new ID. Cross has been part of Volkswagen’s model range since its world premiere in mid-July. The 52 kWh battery initially offered is now being followed by a smaller version with 37 kWh. This combines lower purchase and operating costs with a WLTP range of up to 324 km and DC rapid charging from 10 to 80 per cent in around 23 minutes as standard. Designed for typical daily distances, the ID. Cross with 37 kWh battery is particularly suitable for commuters and urban use. With a maximum speed of 160 km/h, it is also designed for driving on the motorway.
Comfort and technology at a high level. The basic concept of the ID. Cross remains unchanged – regardless of the battery size. It impresses with a powerful, friendly SUV design, a high-quality interior for a feel-good atmosphere, large displays and intuitive operation as well as plenty of space and comfort. The entry-level version Trend already offers extensive standard equipment, including Park Distance Control (front and rear) and smartphone integration via “App Connect”. The Life and Style equipment lines include additional comfort and technology features. Depending on the equipment line, technologies from higher vehicle classes are also available, including “Connected Travel Assist” (can use networked data for predictive assisted driving) or even premium options such as a Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof and electrically adjustable 12-way seats with massage function.
