AACF Adds VIP Tires & Service COO Gary MacCausland to Board of Trustees

The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) has appointed Gary MacCausland to its Board of Trustees. MacCausland is chief operating officer of VIP Tires & Service and a longtime AACF advocate.

He joins the board as he begins his role as president of the Tire Industry Association (TIA). MacCausland replaces Debra Hamlin on the AACF board.

Tire Industry Experience

MacCausland brings more than 35 years of experience in the automotive tire and service industry. He has spent most of his career in leadership roles. Raised in an automotive family, he developed an early appreciation for the business and the people who make it successful. Throughout his career, he has focused on investing in teams, developing talent and helping employees move into leadership positions.

For the past 15 years, MacCausland has helped guide the growth of VIP Tires & Service. The 100-year-old, family-owned company is now led by its third generation.

His experience and support of AACF will bring perspective to the board, it said. The foundation is working to reach more aftermarket employees and families facing unexpected hardship.

AACF Board of Trustees Welcomes MacCausland

“I am excited and honored to be part of an organization that is committed to taking care of the members of the automotive community and their families,” MacCausland said.

“Gary has great familiarity with the AACF, and we’re pleased to welcome him to the board,” said John Kairys, executive director of AACF. “He understands this industry and cares about the people who work in it. His experience and relationships will help us reach more families who need assistance. We also thank Debra Hamlin for her service and the time and care she has given to our mission.”

AACF Plans to Expand Awareness

AACF said it looks forward to working with MacCausland to strengthen industry connections and expand awareness of available assistance. The foundation also aims to help more families know where to turn when they need support.
