PACCAR Connect to Launch in Kenworth, Peterbilt Trucks in 2027

PACCAR announced PACCAR Connect, a new factory-integrated platform combining telematics, driver productivity tools and fleet applications in Kenworth and Peterbilt Class 8 trucks. PACCAR unveiled the platform at the American Trucking Associations’ (ATA) Management Conference & Exhibition (MCE) in Charlotte, North Carolina. Both truck manufacturers will offer the platform beginning in early 2027.

PACCAR Connect Integrates Vehicle Functions and Fleet Applications

PACCAR Connect operates through a new touch-screen display. It pairs essential vehicle functions with an expanding suite of apps and tools for drivers and fleets. For fleets and owner-operators, the platform can eliminate the need for multiple aftermarket devices. PACCAR also covers PACCAR Connect under its factory warranty. The platform provides greater flexibility to manage fleet services.

“PACCAR Connect advances our connected vehicle strategy,” said John Rich, PACCAR chief technology officer. “By creating a future-ready technology foundation, it enables us to continuously expand capabilities, integrate new technologies and enhance the driver experience.”

PACCAR Connect provides customers access to the Virtual Vehicle software platform. The platform includes an applications marketplace that enables fleets to access a growing selection of applications.

Kenworth and Peterbilt customers can access and activate applications directly through the PACCAR Connect Portal. This allows fleets to integrate their workflows and technology directly into the truck.

Fleet Management and Remote Diagnostics

The PACCAR Connect Portal provides back-office tools for fleet management. These include enhanced capabilities to monitor vehicle health, remote diagnostics, mileage, location, warranty status, idle time and more.

Kenworth and Peterbilt’s implementation includes several features specifically designed for trucks and their drivers.

Key features include:

  • High-definition touch-screen display: Provides access to vehicle functions and applications.
  • Voice assistant: Offers voice-controlled access to select truck functions and information.
  • Camera integration: Supports up to eight camera inputs. Vehicle functions, including reversing and turn signals, can automatically trigger camera views.
  • Bluetooth connectivity: Supports simultaneous pairing of two phones and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
  • PACCAR apps: Provides drivers access to a Digital Operator’s Manual, Driver Tutorials, Vehicle Health information and a Dealer Locator.
