Driving Global Fleet Performance
Throughout his career, Lukacs has focused on improving fleet efficiency, reducing costs, and advancing sustainability initiatives across Sherwin-Williams’ vehicle operations.
His accomplishments include converting more than 10% of the company’s California commercial vehicles to electric vehicles, contributing to a reported 4.1% reduction in fleet CO2 emissions since 2023.
Lukacs also leveraged favorable vehicle remarketing conditions in 2024 to generate multimillion-dollar gains for Sherwin-Williams. His work with industry partners helped establish a monthly remarketing forecasting process to improve budgeting accuracy.

Lukacs has also contributed to the broader fleet industry through his involvement with the General Motors Fleet Advisory Board and Wheels’ Customer Advisory Board, sharing insights and helping shape fleet management strategies.
Recognizing the People Behind the Success
Lukacs emphasized the importance of the relationships and partnerships that have supported his career.
“While this award may bear my name, it reflects the dedication, teamwork, and support of many people throughout my career,” he said.
Lukacs credited Sherwin-Williams’ leadership and his fleet team for their continued support and recognized industry partners Wheels, Ayvens, Ford, General Motors, Toyota, Wabash, Masterack, and FLD for their contributions to the company’s fleet program.
“Their collaboration and expertise have helped us build a fleet program we can all be proud of,” he said.
He also thanked his mentors, industry peers, and family, including his wife, for their support throughout his career.
Looking ahead, Lukacs expressed optimism about the industry’s direction and the opportunities presented by emerging technology and sustainability initiatives.
