Allison Transmission Unifies Brands Following Dana Acquisition

Allison Transmission Holdings Inc. announced its new brand structure following its acquisition of Dana Inc.’s Off-Highway Drive & Motion Systems business earlier this year. Effective immediately, the company’s enterprise brand is Allison. Its Allison Transmission and Allison Off-Highway Drive & Motion Systems business units will operate under the unified Allison name. The change also encompasses their combined product portfolio.
Allison Transmission Retains Established Product Brands
Allison will retain established product brands within the acquired off-highway business unit, including Spicer, Brevini, GWB, Fairfield and Graziano. The company will continue to develop, sell and service these products alongside those from the Allison Transmission business unit. Customers, distributors and dealers across both business units will continue to receive support for existing products and parts.
“Our products have a long history, earning the trust of customers over decades. Much of what they value about Allison is embodied in the product brands themselves,” said David Graziosi, Allison chair, president and CEO. “By uniting all of our product brands under Allison, we communicate a consistent strategy and promise to keep the essential industries our customers serve moving forward with confidence.”
Allison to Showcase Unified Portfolio at bauma China
Allison will showcase its unified brand in November at bauma China, a construction and mining machinery industry event. The company will display products spanning the full driveline, including axles, transmissions and driveshafts. The exhibit will highlight the combined portfolio available to existing and prospective customers.
