Iowa dealer group adds first franchised dealership

Lani Automotive Group has purchased its first franchised dealership.

The group purchased Mount Pleasant Chevrolet GMC Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram from Coleman Automotive Group, according to a news release from Performance Brokerage Services.

Both Lani and Coleman are based in Iowa, as is the dealership.

In a news release, Sam Saghbini and Sean Veilani of Lani Automotive Group said: “Buying our first franchised dealerships was a huge milestone for us, and having Matt Willis and Performance Brokerage Services involved made all the difference. There were plenty of hurdles along the way, and getting to the finish line took patience, persistence, and people who knew how to keep everything moving. Matt stayed engaged, helped us work through challenges, and brought the right people together when we needed them.

“Although PBS represented the seller, we always felt that Matt cared about our success, too. He took the time to answer our questions, talk through the next steps, and help us navigate a process that was new to us. His experience and commitment were a big part of making this acquisition happen. Matt and the PBS team are a one-stop shop for dealership buy-sells, with the relationships and knowledge to help bring all the pieces together,” they said.

“We are proud to begin this chapter with Lani Automotive Group, and this won’t be our last dealership purchase with PBS. We want to continue growing with Matt and his team, and we look forward to building on the relationship that helped us get our start.”

Mount Pleasant Chevrolet GMC Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will continue operating at its current location and under its current name.

Coleman Automotive Group president Kyle Coleman added: “Selling Mount Pleasant with Matt Willis and Performance Brokerage Services was a great experience from start to finish. Matt understands this business, knows how to navigate the challenges that come with getting a deal across the finish line, and most importantly, does what he says he’s going to do.

“As Coleman Automotive Group continues to grow, our focus is on buying larger dealerships in larger markets, and I absolutely look forward to continuing to work with Matt and the Performance Brokerage Services team as we pursue those opportunities. This business is built on relationships and trust, and Matt has become both a trusted business partner and a good friend. I’m excited about what we can accomplish together in the years ahead.”
