AI Technology Brings New Capabilities to Parts Stores

Artificial intelligence is changing how automotive parts stores handle customer calls and process orders. New AI technology can recognize customers, identify vehicle applications, check parts availability and pricing, and complete orders without counter staff intervention.

Autologue President and CEO Jim Franco demonstrates the company’s AI counterman, which integrates with electronic catalogs and store management systems to generate sales tickets. Unlike traditional automated phone systems, the technology can handle routine parts orders and overflow calls. Franco emphasizes that AI is designed to support, not replace, experienced counter professionals, allowing them to focus on more complex customer needs.
