Atturo Debuts Trail Blade AT2 All-Terrain Tire With 3PMSF Rating

Atturo Tire announced the Trail Blade AT2, an upgraded replacement for the original Trail Blade A/T. The new all-terrain tire features an updated tread pattern and improvements for everyday driving and all-terrain use.

Atturo will offer the Trail Blade AT2 in 29 sizes for 15- to 20-inch wheel diameters. The lineup includes LT and standard constructions.

Dealers and industry professionals can see the tire at the SEMA Show at Atturo booth No. 44113. Atturo will also display the tire in the SEMA New Product Showcase.

Trail Blade AT2 Performance Updates and 3PMSF Rating

Atturo reports that the Trail Blade AT2 improves wet grip performance by three grades in standardized European testing. The improvements aim to enhance wet traction and braking.

The tire produces 72 dB of external rolling noise, down from 73 dB on the previous model. It also maintains the previous model’s rolling-resistance rating. Atturo says this rating supports the tire’s suitability for hybrid and electric vehicles.

Atturo also improved snow traction. The Trail Blade AT2 carries the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) designation for severe snow service.

The updates target wet traction, snow performance and noise reduction while maintaining efficiency and ride quality.

Tread Design and Construction

Atturo developed a new tread design to balance all-terrain traction with on-road refinement. Key design elements include:

  • Multiple biting edges that provide traction in dirt, mud, gravel, and sand.
  • Variable-pitch tread design that helps reduce noise.
  • 3D full-depth jagged sipes that maintain snow and wet traction throughout tread life, down to five-thirty-seconds-inch tread depth.
  • Wide tread channels that evacuate water, slush and mud from the contact patch.
  • Updated sidewall styling that follows Atturo’s knife blade–inspired design.

Atturo backs the Trail Blade AT2 with a 55,000-mile tread-life warranty.

The company positions the tire as an all-terrain option with on-road manners for shops offering tire sales and maintenance. These services include wheel alignment, balancing, TPMS service and automotive repair.

Atturo Comments on Trail Blade AT2 Development

“The original Trail Blade A/T established an important place in Atturo’s lineup by giving drivers capable all-terrain performance at an attainable price,” said Michael Mathis, President of Atturo. “With the Trail Blade AT2, we wanted to improve the things drivers experience every day — wet traction, snow performance, noise, tread life and appearance — without losing the value that defines the Atturo brand.”

The Trail Blade AT2 is scheduled to begin arriving at Atturo dealers in January.
