Kumho Marks Off-Road Season Podium Finishes on Road Venture MT71

Kumho Tire U.S.A. returned to off-road competition in 2026, with three sponsored drivers earning multiple class podiums. The Kumho off-road racing drivers competed on Road Venture MT71 mud-terrain tires across varied terrain and demanding courses.

Drivers included Mark Duval (#4810), Stephen “Woody” Rose Jr. (#22) and Eric Wikle (#406).

“We are extremely proud of the success of our drivers this season, which is a testament to the strength and performance of our Road Venture MT71 tires,” said Ed Cho, CEO Kumho Tire U.S.A. “Key product insights gathered from these races will be integrated into the next generation of all-terrain tires to ensure that racing-grade innovations reach everyday drivers.”

Kumho Off-Road Racing Results for 2026

  • Mark Duval (#4810): Won the 4800 Class in the Valley Off Road Racing Association season championship. Duval won every race in the four-event series and completed the season without a puncture on Kumho tires.
  • Stephen “Woody” Rose Jr. (#22): Won the Ultra4 Western Regional Series championship in the 4800 Class. He recorded one first-place and two fourth-place finishes across four races.
  • Eric Wikle (#406): Took first place in the Rock800: Legends class at the 2026 Casey Folks Vegas to Reno race. Wikle completed the 505-mile Nevada desert course. For the first time in the event’s history, the course ran in reverse from Reno to Las Vegas.

Road Venture MT71 Features

According to Kumho, the Road Venture MT71 includes:

  • Increased block stiffness for on- and off-road handling characteristics;
  • A high-void tread pattern with zigzag and dual-pitch design for off-road traction;
  • Mud and stone ejector bars between shoulder lugs to help prevent stone drilling and aid self-cleaning.
