TERREPOWER to Showcase New Products at AAPEX

TERREPOWER, formerly BBB Industries, will showcase two new products at AAPEX 2026. The company specializes in sustainable aftermarket manufacturing. The products include the Remy Belt Alternator Starter (BAS) for 48-volt mild hybrid vehicles and the mobile S.T.A.R.T. diagnostic application. S.T.A.R.T. stands for Smart Troubleshooting and Resolution Tool.
TERREPOWER will also highlight an expansion of its steering and braking portfolio. The expansion includes 92 new electric power steering part numbers. The company also plans to expand its NuGeon new brake caliper line to more than 1,800 SKUs in 2027.
“Today’s aftermarket is changing quickly as new vehicle technologies enter the repair cycle and technicians face increasingly complex diagnostic challenges,” said Duncan Gillis, CEO of TERREPOWER. “Innovation for TERREPOWER means bringing new parts to market as well as technologies to help our customers solve the entire repair. The Remy BAS and S.T.A.R.T. app demonstrate how we are complementing scalable sustainable manufacturing of automotive components with user-friendly tools to help our customers keep vehicles on the road longer.”
TERREPOWER Introduces Remy BAS for Mild Hybrids
The Remy BAS combines starter and generator functionality in a belt-driven motor-generator for 48-volt mild hybrids. TERREPOWER will feature the product in the AAPEX New Product Showcase.
TERREPOWER is the first company to introduce a remanufactured BAS solution for North American aftermarket distribution. Applications include the Ram 1500 eTorque and Audi 48-volt mild hybrid vehicles.
As mild hybrid vehicles move beyond their original warranties, the Remy BAS offers an alternative to limited OE supply. TERREPOWER uses the original OE design and remanufactures the unit with qualified components, manufacturing controls and validation testing. The process restores the unit to its original OE performance level.
The Remy BAS supports stop-start operation, captures energy during braking and deceleration, and provides torque assistance.
Initial coverage includes H80002 for 2019-2024 Ram 1500 5.7-liter V8 eTorque applications. Part Number H80001 covers 2020-2025 Audi 48-volt mild hybrid applications.
Remanufacturing Process and Product Support
The core-exchange remanufacturing process begins with a returned unit. Technicians disassemble and inspect the unit, replace or renew components, and rebuild it to its original OE design.
The process keeps serviceable metal and electronic components in circulation. Compared with manufacturing an equivalent new unit, it reduces raw material extraction, energy consumption and landfill waste.
TERREPOWER will support the introduction with sales materials, electronic catalog support, product videos and training modules with quizzes. These resources will help partners prepare counter staff and technicians for emerging hybrid repair opportunities.
Expanding Brake Caliper and Steering Coverage
TERREPOWER will also preview an expansion of its NuGeon new brake caliper line. The company plans to release more than 1,800 caliper SKUs in 2027. The new calipers aim to simplify stocking and installation.
Additionally, TERREPOWER is expanding its electric power steering (EPS) program with 92 new part numbers. The expansion covers more than 20.2 million vehicles in operation in the U.S. and more than 226,000 in Canada.
S.T.A.R.T. Mobile App Supports Diagnostics
TERREPOWER designed its S.T.A.R.T. app to guide technicians through a structured diagnostic process. The app helps identify the root cause of a failure before technicians install a replacement component. This approach aims to reduce repeat repairs and returns.
The mobile version launches with turbocharger troubleshooting. TERREPOWER plans to add alternator and starter capabilities before the end of 2026.
Features include:
- Symptom-based troubleshooting by product type.
- Diagnostic trouble code lookup, including codes such as P0299 turbo underboost.
- Direct access to TechEyeQ remote assistance by phone or email.
“S.T.A.R.T. is another example of how we’re thinking beyond the replacement part,” Gillis said. “Giving technicians better diagnostic support can help them identify the underlying problem before installing a new component. That means greater confidence in the repair for technicians, distributors and ultimately the vehicle owner.”
The S.T.A.R.T. app is available on Apple’s App Store for iPhone, iPad and Mac and on Google Play for Android devices.
TERREPOWER also offers alternator and starter troubleshooting through its expanded desktop application at www.partinstall.com/start.
Additional Aftermarket Products at AAPEX
The Remy BAS, S.T.A.R.T. app and expanded parts portfolio reflect TERREPOWER’s focus on products and repair support. The company combines remanufactured components with diagnostic technology, training and resources for aftermarket customers.
TERREPOWER will also highlight products and services across rotating electrical, turbochargers, braking, steering and electric vehicle battery lifecycle services.
