REACH Acquires Carter and Airtex/ASC Brands

REACH announced the acquisition of the Carter Engineered Quality and Airtex/ASC brands, strengthening its water pump offering and expanding its product lineup to include fuel delivery components.
“We are proud to bring two iconic automotive aftermarket brands, Carter and Airtex/ASC, into a new era under the REACH umbrella,” said Dee Chen, CEO of REACH’s Global Automotive Business Unit. “By combining their rich heritage and trusted reputation with REACH’s global manufacturing strength, innovation and distribution network, we are committed to restoring their leadership and delivering exceptional value to customers worldwide.”
REACH Plans Product Line Expansions
Under REACH ownership, Carter, Airtex and ASC will retain their individual brand identities. The company plans to expand part number coverage, increase inventory and relaunch each brand’s website.
REACH also outlined plans to expand the brands’ product offerings. Carter is expected to add fuel system components beyond its existing pump lineup. Airtex will continue offering cooling and fuel delivery products while expanding into engine components, including sensors. ASC will maintain its focus on heavy-duty water pump applications.
Carter and Airtex/ASC Bring Established Aftermarket History
Carter traces its history to 1909 and has manufactured automotive fuel delivery components for more than a century. Its product portfolio has evolved from carburetors to fuel pumps and water pumps.
Airtex, established in 1935, offers fuel delivery, cooling and electrical components. ASC, founded in 1976, specializes in water pumps, including heavy-duty applications for diesel engines.
The acquisition adds established aftermarket brands to REACH’s portfolio and supports its expansion into additional automotive replacement parts categories.
