Easelink and Luxshare collaborate to industrialize automated EV charging system in China

Automated hands-free EV charging is a vital enabling technology for autonomous vehicles. Some favor a wireless solution, but others see a conductive solution as more efficient and more dependable.
Austria-based Easelink‘s Matrix Charging system uses a connector on the underside of the car and a ground-mounted charging pad.
Easelink is working with Luxshare, a provider of precision manufacturing solutions that operates in 30 countries, in order to industrialize the Matrix Charging system for the Chinese market. The two companies are already working together on OEM projects to integrate the technology into future vehicle platforms.
Easelink reports that automated charging is gaining importance in China, driven by the advancement of self-driving vehicles.
Luxshare boasts extensive experience in working with international technology companies to industrialize and manufacture new products at scale. Through the technology license and collaboration with Easelink, Luxshare will be able to add Matrix Charging to its automotive product portfolio and offer this automated charging solution to its OEM customers.
Easelink plans to further expand its local team in China to closely accompany the technical and project-related collaboration with Luxshare and Chinese OEMs.
“We see great potential in our collaboration with Easelink, allowing us to tap into new customer segments in the product field of automated charging,” said Harvey Yuan, General Manager at Luxshare. “We are aware of the critical role that standardization of new interfaces plays and are committed to contribute to the standardizing efforts in the Matrix Charging Interest Group to secure interoperability and a broad market acceptance.”
“Together, we will focus on serving local customers in China and integrate Matrix Charging into existing value chains within the automotive industry,” said Hermann Stockinger, CEO and Founder of Easelink. “This partnership marks an important milestone in our growing presence in China and is central to our mission to set the global industry standard for automated charging.”
