Tower Garage Marlow fills MOT diary two weeks ahead with digital strategy

Independent garage Tower Garage Marlow is keeping its six workshop ramps busy and its MOT diary fully booked two weeks in advance, thanks to a high-converting digital platform developed by Garage Services Online (GSO). Founded in 1957, the family-run business, operating across sites in Marlow and High Wycombe, relied for years on a self-managed website that was no longer keeping pace with modern consumer habits.

“Like many garage owners, I tried to administrate our own website, but it was pretty poor,” explained Martin Fletcher, director at Tower Garage Marlow. “Garage Services Online approached us, understood our trade, and showed us exactly what could be achieved.”

Rather than delivering a generic web brochure, GSO took a targeted approach. After analysing Tower Garage’s local footprint and business priorities, GSO built a bespoke platform optimized for high-demand services like MOTs, diagnostics, and routine servicing. The tailored search engine optimization (SEO) strategy quickly yielded results, generating over 2,000 monthly local search views and consistently keeping the garage at the top of Google results across Marlow and High Wycombe. The website integrates a streamlined online booking journey that connects directly into the garage’s management system.

“Our MOT diary fills up automatically and we’re consistently booked two weeks in advance. The vast majority of customers book online rather than tying up the front desk on the phone,” said Fletcher. “It takes immense pressure off our reception staff.”

The steady influx of high-value work has eliminated the need for secondary social media advertising or external marketing campaigns. For independent workshop owners, Tower Garage’s experience underscores the power of a purpose-built web strategy over passive online profiles.

“GSO keeps our ramps full with the exact work we want to do,” Fletcher concluded. “My advice to garage owners is to look at what’s working behind the scenes. Make sure local motorists find you first and book directly onto your ramps.”
