AACF Elects Marc Blackman President of Board of Trustees

The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) announced the election of Marc Blackman as president of its board of trustees, effective Jan. 1, 2027. Blackman, chairman and CEO of Gold Eagle Co., succeeds Jon Owens, who served as president for three years. During his tenure, Owens helped advance the foundation’s mission of providing emergency financial assistance to aftermarket employees and their families.
AACF Names Experienced Industry Leader
Blackman brings extensive industry leadership experience and a commitment to the people who work in the aftermarket. As AACF’s secretary and an executive committee member, he has helped guide the foundation’s work and priorities.
As president, Blackman will draw on his experience building relationships, leading industry organizations and developing a people-focused company culture. His leadership will help AACF strengthen partnerships, engage supporters and reach more families facing unexpected hardship.
“I am humbled and honored to serve as President of the AACF Board of Trustees. AACF represents what is so special about our automotive aftermarket community: people coming together to help one another when it matters most,” said Blackman.
Gold Eagle’s Longstanding Support of the Foundation
Blackman’s election continues Gold Eagle’s connection to AACF. A Champion Donor and supporter for more than 20 years, Gold Eagle has helped sustain the foundation’s assistance efforts.
That commitment includes former AACF President Bob Hirsch, whose dedication helped establish a lasting tradition of giving back within the company.
“I’m grateful to follow the exceptional leaders who have served before me,” Blackman added. “I look forward to working with our Board to continue supporting aftermarket employees and their families in their time of need.”
Gold Eagle is a 94-year-old, family-owned American manufacturer of premium engine additives, specialty cleaners and protectants. At the company, Blackman emphasizes empowerment, continuous improvement, candid communication and trust.
His industry service includes previous terms as chairman of MEMA and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association’s board of governors. He also serves as a lifetime trustee of the University of the Aftermarket.
Foundation Recognizes Owens’ Leadership
As AACF prepares for the transition, the foundation thanked Owens for his time, care and commitment. His service reflects the industry’s commitment to helping aftermarket employees and their families.
“Jon has given his time, energy, and heart to AACF, and we’re grateful for the leadership he has provided,” said John Kairys, AACF executive director. “Marc brings a thoughtful approach, deep industry relationships, and a clear commitment to our mission. We look forward to working together to build on that progress and help more families when they need us most.”
