Continental reports 6.7% adj. EBIT, raises outlook in ‘strong’ Q3 financials

Continental AG has raised its outlook for adjusted EBIT margin and adjusted free cash flow after its tyre business achieved “very good results” in the third quarter of 2026. In the past quarter, Continental achieved consolidated sales of €3.5 billion for continuing operations, down from €3.9 billion in the same period in 2025. The decline in sales was mainly due to the sale of the Original Equipment Solutions (OESL) business area at the beginning of February 2026. Before exchange-rate effects and changes in the scope of consolidation, organic sales declined by 1.5 per cent. But the headline news is that Continental improved its adjusted operating result to €514 million (Q3 2025: €482 million, +6.7 per cent). The adjusted EBIT margin increased to 14.9 per cent compared with 13.9 per cent in the prior-year quarter.
