Ford Fathom EV pickup prices will range from $28,350 to the high $30Ks

Ford’s upcoming Fathom electric pickup will be among the most affordable EVs in the US, starting at $28,350. Even pricier trims will start at under $40,000.
Ford Fathom EV prices range up to the high $30,000s
After announcing the name of its new midsize electric pickup this summer, Ford said the Fathom will start at just $28,350 for the standard-range model.
Even with the $1,595 delivery fee, prices will start at under $30,000. On the company’s third-quarter earnings call last week, CEO Jim Farley said the Fathom, Ford’s first vehicle off the Universal Electric Vehicle (UEV) platform, remains on track to launch in Q4 2027.
Last Tuesday, a day before earnings, Farley said he had the chance to test-drive a prototype and that it “completely blew me away.”

The 0 to 60 mph, huge room inside, and the hands-free, ADAS experience was like “something I’ve never experienced,” Farley told investors.
Ford’s CEO added that the Fathom is a “breakthrough product” that’s highly capable and affordable. The MSRP under $30,000 and low cost of ownership, Farley said, is perfect for today’s market.

The electric pickup will use a zonal electrical architecture and a 48-volt system to cut costs. It will also offer bidirectional charging, enabling it to power your home to save on energy costs or during an outage.
When asked how the company plans to upsell the Fathom beyond the $28,350 starting price, Andrew Frick, president of Ford Model e, offered some insight.
“The starting price of $28,350 is just that,” Frick said. “We’ll have a range that goes to the high $30,000 range. And we’ll have a couple of different offerings within that,” he explained.

Frick said it’s too soon to share more about the offerings themselves at this point, and more details will come closer to launch.
According to Farley, the embedded Apple Maps is a “game changer” for any EV, but especially for a vehicle starting under $30,000.
“That is going to be the most exciting upsell opportunity,” Farley said, “it’s really the long-term subscription and digital experience for the customer.”
Apple Maps will be directly integrated into the navigation system. All Fathom models will be BlueCruise-capable for hands-free driving with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

We still haven’t seen the interior, but Ford claims the Fathom has a “large touchscreen display” with easy-to-use navigation.
The midsize electric pickup will offer more interior space than a Toyota RAV4, and that’s not including the frunk (front trunk) or truck bed. Ford also said the Fathom will cost less to own over five years than a three-year-old used Tesla Model Y.
We also know the Fathom will have an NACS port after a prototype was caught at a Tesla Supercharger a few months ago.
Ford is set to open preorders in early 2027, with an official launch expected in the fourth quarter of 2027.
