Worldpac to Open First Automated Distribution Center in Georgia

Worldpac announced plans to open its first automated distribution center, a new 413,000-square-foot facility in Forest Park, Georgia. Scheduled to begin operations in the first half of 2027, the facility will feature AutoStore robotic storage and retrieval technology, expanding Worldpac’s distribution capacity and supporting future growth, the company said.

The facility will support Worldpac branches and customers across the Southeast and surrounding markets, while providing more than 250,000 additional square feet compared with the current Norcross distribution center.

The facility will utilize AutoStore, an advanced automated storage and retrieval system that uses robotics to store, retrieve, and process inventory within a highly efficient storage grid. Rather than team members traveling through warehouse aisles to locate parts, inventory is automatically delivered to workstations for picking, replenishment and processing. The technology will enable more efficient inventory management and order processing while supporting consistent, reliable service as Worldpac continues to grow, the company said.
