XPENG had a fantabulous sales month in October. We can give you the numbers, but as you can see well enough in the chart above and below, the company’s sales soared to a whole new level last month.

Reaching 50,237 vehicle deliveries, that meant 22% sales growth month over month and 20% sales growth year over year. There were 41,256 XPENG vehicles delivered in September 2026 and 42,013 delivered in October 2025, the company’s previous monthly record. Will it be another year until XPENG beats its monthly sales record again, or is the October 2026 result just the beginning of more record sales in coming months?

Well, there are some reasons to expect even more growth. “In October 2026, the XPENG L05 was officially launched in the Chinese mainland, with deliveries set to begin on November 1, 2026,” XPENG shares. “On October 26, 2026, XPENG obtained a demonstration operation license to conduct Level 4 Robotaxi services in Guangzhou. The approval enables XPENG Robotaxi to advance from technology validation to real-world operational and business model validation, marking a key milestone toward the commercialization of XPENG’s Physical AI technologies.”

A big portion of this sales growth came from tremendous growth in sales outside of XPENG’s home market of China. “Overseas deliveries also reached an all-time monthly high of 13,326 units, up 166% year-over-year,” the company shares.

Overall, things are looking very bright for XPENG. And those EV sales are helping the planet and humanity as well. “XPENG’s electric vehicles delivered from January to October 2026 are expected to reduce life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions by more than 5.77 million tons compared to internal combustion engine vehicles, equivalent to the carbon absorbed by 95.43 million young trees over 10 years,” XPENG wrote in closing, and I’ll close with that highlight as well.

Oh, wait, I’ll also add that XPENG’s big spike in sales in October helped the company to shoot high above similar (but different) rival NIO in their long-term battle as the best selling smart EV startup.

NIO didn’t have its best month, but maybe it will surge again in November and/or December.
