Aeolus Tyre slips to quarterly loss as raw material costs rise

Higher raw material costs, lower selling prices and a loss on its investment in Prometeon Tyre Group pushed Aeolus Tyre into the red in the third quarter of 2026. The Chinese tyre maker reported a net loss attributable to shareholders of RMB 24.36 million (£2.74 million, US$3.63 million) for the three months to 30 September, compared with a profit of RMB 120.71 million (£13.60 million, US$17.99 million) a year earlier. Revenue fell 7.6 per cent to RMB 1.872 billion (£210.87 million, US$279.03 million).
