GSP Launches All-New, Core-Free Brake Caliper Line

GSP North America announced the GSP ADVANTEDGE Brake Caliper program, an all-new caliper range that frees distributors from the cost and hassle of managing cores. It’s on display at AAPEX, booth #F14611.

Every caliper is entirely new, distributors no longer need to handle, store, sort and ship cores back to the supplier, GSP said.

Every unit is built from the ground up with OE-matched components:

  • Precision-cast ductile iron or aluminum bodies and carrier brackets, with precision-machined surfaces and threads
  • OE-specified phenolic or steel pistons to match each braking system
  • OE-grade EPDM seals and boots that hold piston pressure and keep contaminants out
  • Installation hardware included: copper washers, new banjo bolt and abutment clips
  • 100% end-of-line pressure and leak validated before leaving the factory

The initial range covers more than 80% of category demand and is expected to reach 95% within 12 months of its formal launch at AAPEX.

The range is produced at GSP’s new manufacturing facility in Malaysia. GSP’s distribution partners can expect the same high-level quality and execution they have experienced in all GSP lines, the company said.

“The GSP ADVANTEDGE Brake Caliper program is designed to improve distributors’ operational performance, increase bay throughput through enhanced quality and, ultimately, give customers restored and reliable braking performance,” said Tom Galla, director of new products for GSP North America.
