Sun Auto Names Interstate Batteries as a Primary Supplier Across 600 Locations

Sun Auto Tire & Service announced its partnership with Interstate Batteries. The agreement names Interstate Batteries the primary battery provider for the Sun Auto Network.

The Sun Auto Network operates more than 600 locations across 27 states. It includes more than 70 local and regional automotive service brands. The network serves drivers through local shops while maintaining brand-level relationships and consistent service.

The partnership strengthens Sun Auto’s battery category support through Interstate Batteries’ national scale, distribution network, and category expertise.

Sun Auto locations nationwide now offer Interstate products. The agreement also supports product availability, promotions, and warranty service across the network.

“As we grow the Sun Auto Network, we’re continually looking for ways to use our scale to make our local brands stronger and deliver more value to our customers,” said Tony Puckett, chief executive officer of Sun Auto Network. “That means aligning with partners who bring deep expertise in their category and can support us consistently across the country. Interstate Batteries brings a trusted brand, specialized battery expertise and nationwide capabilities that make them a strong fit for our network and the customers we serve.”

Sun Auto Interstate Batteries Partnership Expands Network Support

Interstate Batteries has maintained strong brand recognition among consumers and automotive professionals for more than 70 years. The company also supports automotive shops through an extensive distribution network.

Sun Auto locations will honor Interstate Batteries’ warranty coverage. This gives customers access to warranty service across the network.

“Interstate Batteries is proud to partner with Sun Auto Network and serve one of the nation’s largest automotive service networks,” said Lain Hancock, president and chief executive officer of Interstate Batteries. “Sun Auto’s scale, customer-first approach and commitment to excellence make them an ideal partner. This agreement creates an exciting opportunity to support more than 600 locations operating under trusted local brands while ensuring drivers have access to dependable battery solutions wherever they travel.”

The agreement advances Sun Auto’s strategy to leverage its national footprint. This strategy improves products, resources, and support for local brands and their customers.
