OTAA Awards 2026 Tools to Talent Scholarships to Four Ohio Technicians

The Ohio Tire & Automotive Association (OTAA) has named four recipients of its 2026 Tools to Talent Scholarships. The recipients are Ethan Clark (Joe’s Tire), Maria Hartung (Jamie’s Tire), Thomas Lawrence (Grismer Tire) and Anthony Rowley (Pitt Stop Tire & Auto).
All four selected the tool scholarship option, which provides professional tools to help them build careers in the tire and automotive service industry.
“Getting started as a technician takes more than an interest in cars. It also takes access to the tools needed to do the job,” said Jamie Ward, OTAA president. “Through Tools to Talent, we can help reduce that upfront cost and give these four recipients a stronger start. We congratulate Ethan, Maria, Thomas, and Anthony and look forward to seeing them grow in our industry.”
Tools to Talent Scholarships Include Professional Toolsets
Each recipient will receive a Sonic 182-piece Quick Service Toolset with a NEXT S4 cart. The package includes sockets, ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers and other service tools.
Three foam inserts organize the tools. The cart features three drawers with ball-bearing slides and an anti-tilt drawer-blocking system.
